Description

The GE BiliSoft 2.0 Phototherapy System is an advanced, fiber-optic-based LED phototherapy solution designed for the effective treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia (jaundice). Engineered to support developmental care and family bonding, BiliSoft 2.0 allows infants to receive intensive phototherapy while being held, swaddled, or breastfed—without interrupting therapy.

Key Features:

  • High-Intensity Blue LED Light: Delivers spectral irradiance of up to 50 µW/cm²/nm (small pad) and 35 µW/cm²/nm (large pad), exceeding AAP guidelines for intensive phototherapy.
  • Flexible Use: Ideal for use in the NICU, well-baby nursery, pediatrics, or at home. Compatible with radiant warmers, incubators, bassinets, and cribs.
  • Developmental Care Focused: Enables kangaroo care and skin-to-skin contact during treatment, promoting bonding and better outcomes.
  • Compact & Quiet: Lightweight design with whisper-quiet operation (<44 dB) and a small footprint for easy integration into any care environment.
  • Durable & Long-Lasting: Blue LED light engine rated for over 50,000 hours of use, reducing maintenance and operating costs.
  • Enhanced Coverage: The long, flexible fiber-optic cable and large pad surface area provide greater skin exposure and eliminate distance deficiencies.

Specifications:

  • Light Pad Sizes: Small (15 x 30 cm), Large (varies)
  • Spectral Range: 445–470 nm (peak absorption at 458 nm)
  • Fiber-Optic Cable Length: 137 ± 5 cm
  • LED Life Expectancy: 50,000+ hours
  • Sound Level: <44 dB(A) at 1 meter
  • Mounting Options: Bed mount or roll stand
  • X-ray Compatible: Allows therapy to continue during imaging

Applications:

  • Treatment of indirect hyperbilirubinemia in newborns ≥35 weeks gestation
  • Ideal for hospitals, birthing centers, and home health settings
