• Temperature Control: The MR480 utilizes Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control to regulate the heater plate temperature, ensuring consistent humidification levels. 
• Temperature Sensing: Equipped with standard thermistors compatible with YSI 400, the device measures temperature using fast-response probes located at the patient end of the delivery tube and at the humidifying chamber outlet. 
• Temperature Display: Features a three-digit, 14mm LED display with a range from 5.0 to 80.0 degrees Celsius. The display indicates 'Lo' below 5.0 degrees and 'Hi' above 80.0 degrees, with an accuracy of ±0.3 degrees between 25.0 to 45.0 degrees Celsius.
• Safety Features: The heater plate includes an overheat protector that activates at 118°C ± 6°C, enhancing patient safety during operation. 

The MR480 is compatible with various Fisher & Paykel humidification chambers, which should be filled with cold water to the maximum level for optimal performance.
