Course Overview
The Patient Monitoring Systems Training is a hybrid learning program designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in the principles and functionality of modern patient monitors. Students will first engage in an interactive online component that introduces key terminology, system architecture, alarm management, and common monitoring parameters such as ECG, SpO₂, NIBP, and temperature. This online portion ensures learners build a strong conceptual understanding, laying the groundwork for the in-person phase of training.
Following the online module, students will participate in an instructor-led, hands-on performance lab where they will apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. This includes tasks such as system setup, troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance of patient monitors in a clinical setting. The hybrid format ensures learners are well-prepared to transition from theory to practice, promoting confidence and competence in working with critical patient monitoring equipment.
